We are currently seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in our care homes. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating resident care. Your expertise and dedication will contribute to the overall well-being and quality of life for our residents.


Responsibilities:


  • Resident Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' physical, emotional, and social needs. Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to address residents' healthcare requirements.

  • Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate dosage, proper techniques, and adherence to medication management protocols. Monitor residents for any adverse reactions or side effects.

  • Nursing Procedures: Perform nursing procedures and interventions, including wound care, catheterization, IV therapy, and monitoring of vital signs. Follow established protocols and infection control practices to maintain resident safety and well-being.

  • Health Monitoring and Documentation: Regularly monitor residents' health status, observe and document any changes in condition, and communicate effectively with healthcare team members. Maintain accurate and detailed electronic records of resident care and progress.

  • Collaborative Care: Work closely with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and caregivers, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for residents. Participate in care conferences and provide input on resident care plans.

  • Resident and Family Education: Educate residents and their families on health conditions, medications, self-care techniques, and strategies for maintaining optimal health and well-being. Address their questions and concerns with empathy and clear communication.

  • Emotional Support: Provide emotional support and compassionate care to residents and their families, promoting a therapeutic and nurturing environment. Respond to residents' emotional and psychosocial needs with empathy and professionalism.

  • Crisis Management: Assess and manage emergency situations effectively, following established protocols and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure resident safety and appropriate interventions.

  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to regulatory standards and best practices in nursing care. Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance resident care outcomes.

  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development activities to enhance nursing knowledge and skills. Stay updated with current healthcare trends, research, and evidence-based practices to provide high-quality care.


Requirements:


  • Education and Licensure: Hold a valid and current Registered Nurse license in the relevant jurisdiction. Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.

  • Clinical Skills: Possess strong clinical skills and a solid understanding of nursing principles and best practices. Experience in geriatric or long-term care settings is preferred.

  • Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Demonstrate excellent critical thinking, assessment, and decision-making skills in complex and dynamic healthcare situations. Prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently.

  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exhibit effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents, families, and the healthcare team. Compassion, empathy, and active listening skills are essential.

  • Emotional Resilience: Maintain emotional resilience and professionalism in challenging situations. Demonstrate the ability to handle stress.

  • Leadership and Teamwork: Display strong leadership qualities and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Foster a positive and supportive work environment, promoting open communication and teamwork.

  • Ethics and Integrity: Uphold ethical standards and maintain resident confidentiality. Adhere to professional nursing codes of conduct and regulations.

  • Adaptability: Adapt to changing priorities and healthcare environments. Be flexible in meeting the evolving needs of residents and the care home.

  • Continuous Learning: Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development. Stay updated with advancements in nursing practice and contribute to the knowledge-sharing within the team.
